Evidence & data
Be clear about
what the information tells you.
Occupation data and individual feedback can support useful questions. They should be presented with the context needed to interpret them.
Occupation information
The application’s occupation reports attribute information to the O*NET database, developed for the U.S. Department of Labor. Reports cover the work itself, worker characteristics, preparation, wages, and employment trends. The live screen reviewed during this rebuild identifies O*NET 28.3.
The source period and scope matter. Occupation-level measures describe occupations; they do not directly assess a person’s current proficiency. Wage and employment information can vary by geography and reporting period.
What alignment means
Alignment makes similarities and differences between occupations visible. It is a prompt for investigation, rather than a credential, a qualification decision, or a guarantee of employment.
Users should verify licensing, certification, education, and employer requirements for any occupation they are considering.
What individual feedback means
The testimonials on this site come from the original Transition Navideer website. They describe individual experiences and perceptions. They are not representative survey estimates or evidence that the product caused an employment outcome.
For organizational evaluation
Define the intended use before choosing measures. Completion of an alignment, quality of a development plan, and the usefulness of an advising conversation are different from job placement or longer-term employment outcomes.
If your program needs evaluation support, discuss its population, implementation, measures, and limitations as part of an institutional conversation.
